GALLERY 20
The Blockheads

Darron Chadwick blends bright bold colors and a fanciful imagination in the creation of his whimsical "blockheads" these works have a streetwise feeling of the mid 1980's graffiti artists with strong influences from Roy Liechtenstein and Keith Haring, two of Darron's more favorite artists.

Each work tells a story of a period in the artist life from moments of hardship, to times of delight; the blockheads create a unique portrait of the artist's thoughts and feelings.

Darron's work was awarded the Best of Show (Professional Division) in the 1991 Indianapolis Art League "Student Exhibition". His works are included in the collections of Eli Lilly Corp., Indianapolis, IN. Barnes & Thornberg, Chicago, IL. And other numerous corporate and private collections.
