The Antiquity Series
an·tiq·ui·ty (²n-t¹k“w¹-t¶) n., pl. an·tiq·ui·ties. Abbr. antiq., ant. 1. Ancient times, especially the times preceding the Middle Ages. 2. The quality of being old or ancient; considerable age: a carving of great antiquity. 3. Often antiquities. Something, such as an object or a relic, belonging to or dating from ancient times.
The Antiquity Series takes a look at lost civilizations and the relic form. The three-dimensional equivalents of calligraphy are representations of ancient languages. Each individual tablet is hand rolled to a uniform thickness, then carved, fired and glazed before entering the Raku process.
Each of these pieces measures 16" x 20" & comes ready to frame. The pieces are
matted in ultra-suede fabric and floated on a black ultra-suede. Your art
will be created once your order has been placed.
